Turn PNG images into a PDF
Creating your PDF
PDF complete
Details
Collect PNG screenshots and graphics into one PDF without uploading them. Every pixel and the transparency channel survive the trip, so small interface type stays readable. The new file is reopened and measured before the download appears.
Screenshots in, one report out
-
Choose the captures
Press Choose images, or drag .png files onto the page. Thumbnails gather under Image order with the running count and total size, all read in this tab.
-
Put the story in order
Move captures up or down with the arrow buttons. Each file becomes one page, and the numbered list is the order your reader follows.
-
Set size and margins
Match image wraps each page around its own capture; A4 and US Letter frame every capture on standard paper, turning wide shots sideways. Add None, Narrow, or Standard margins without cropping or resampling anything.
-
Create and download
Press Create PDF. The file is reopened, pages counted and measured, each capture's pixel width and height confirmed. Download PDF appears named after the first file with -png added, for example cart-full-png.pdf.
Small type stays readable
Screenshots punish every shortcut: re-encoding blurs small menu text into grey soup. Nothing of that happens here. Each PNG travels into the PDF through the writer's native path with its pixels, dimensions, and transparency untouched, so the page shows exactly what your screen showed.
Transparency survives as transparency, which flatters logos and rounded interface corners. A viewer normally shows the bare page beneath as white, so expect light corners rather than a checkerboard.
Lossless has a price: the PDF weighs about as much as the captures, and a folder of full-screen grabs is no featherweight. Size breakdown names the heaviest pages, and Compress PDF trims the file when the mailbox demands it.
A bug report the developer can follow
Thursday afternoon, the shop checkout breaks for discount codes, and you are the tester who must prove it. You capture the trail: cart-full.png with the code applied, error-banner.png with the red message, console-log.png with the failed request. Three loose files in a chat thread get opened in random order and the story falls apart.
Drop the three captures here, order them cart, banner, console with the arrow buttons, and keep Match image with None margins so every pixel of the error text stays put. Press Create PDF and the download lands as cart-full-png.pdf: three pages that read the way the bug happened.
Attach that single file to the ticket and the developer replays your session page by page. To file it inside a longer test report later, join the files with Merge PDF; to cut the console page before sharing outside the team, use Organize pages.
Captures that read well as pages
- Capture at full size. The tool never resamples, so a thumbnail-sized grab stays thumbnail-sized on the page.
- Crop browser chrome and bare desktop. Every stray pixel costs bytes and attention.
- Order captures as the reader should replay them, then read the numbered list once more.
- Pick Match image for screen reading; pick A4 or Letter when the pages must print.
When a screenshot page disappoints
- Blurry text. Softness comes from the source, not the trip: a scaled-down grab cannot regain detail. Recapture at full size.
- A giant file. Full-screen lossless grabs add up fast. That is the format, not a bug; compress afterwards.
- A JPG in the pile was refused. Screenshots and photos need different pages, or meet in Images to PDF.
- Transparent corners turned white. The transparency is kept; viewers simply show the bare page beneath. Nothing is lost.
When a different route fits better
When the text in the captures must be selectable or searchable, stop here: pixels are pixels, and this tool reads none of them. Copy the few lines that matter into the ticket by hand.
When the captures came from the web as .webp, they belong in WebP to PDF, which decodes them first. When photos and screenshots mix, Images to PDF takes both in one run.
Questions about screenshots in a PDF
- Why do transparent corners show white?
- The transparency channel is kept in the file; a viewer just shows the white page beneath it. Open the same PNG and the same PDF side by side and the corners match.
- Can I combine screenshots with photos?
- No. This page reads PNG and nothing else. For a set that mixes PNG with JPG, use Images to PDF.
- Will a 4K screenshot print well?
- Its pixels arrive intact, which is the part this tool controls. For paper, build on A4 or US Letter so the capture lands on a real sheet, and preview before printing.
- Why is the PDF bigger than I expected?
- Lossless pixels cost bytes, and the PDF stores every one. Twenty full-screen captures weigh what twenty full-screen captures weigh; compress the file when size matters more than perfection.
- Can I number the pages?
- Not here, but Stamp PDF adds page numbers, labels, or a watermark to the finished file.
